We live in an age where cutting edge technology stays ever advancing. Google Maps is also one such wonder of the technologically advanced contemporary times. It takes satellite photos of the whole planet , and can be used for travelling, reconnaissance, surveying and mapping. The Google Maps satellites take different high resolution pictures of the earth at different times. 

But there are sometimes the satellite camera captures things that are mysterious and down right confusing. One such instance would be the scene at the coordinates 52.376552 5.198303.

The news of a murder scene captured on google maps started surfacing a few years ago on the internet. And because everyone could go look it up and there actually was a scenario captured on these exact GPS coordinates that suggests a murder mystery. 

If you search 52.376552 5.198303 on google maps or google earth and zoom down on to this exact pin point, you will notice the scene of a man dragging a corpse on a wooden pier beside a lake, and there seems to be a long trail of blood behind it.

52.376552 5.198303 : is it really a murder scene ???

The satellite photo taken over the coordinates 52.376552 5.198303 by Google Earth were taken in 2009 and it was not until 2013 that the news of this murder scene surfaced on the internet. The coordinates are of a lake in the Netherlands and when the local police was informed about this they claimed that even if it was a murder there was nothing that could be done because of the fact the satellite image was taken over 4 years ago. 

Secondly, if you zoom in on the picture there are few possibilities that could explain this image. Either it is a small group of people with a brown dog taken a stroll on the pier, and the blood trail could simply be the aged wood when wet.

Another theory could be that it is a man that is dragging a large animal (moose/deer/goat etc) and the trail of blood is actually blood.

Whatever it looks like , one thing is for certain that whatever happened at 52.376552 5.198303 in 2009 will stay a mystery for us as there is no way to trace evidence back to that time and the images cannot be refined enough to see what is actually happening there.
